ABOUT
In her early 20's, Celia started painting furniture for friends and family which led to a job as an apprentice for a high end furniture restoration company. After being there several years, she decided to venture out on her own. At the time decorative painting on walls was becoming popular and was in high demand. In order to branch out and offer these services, she enrolled in several workshops to learn glazing and plastering techniques. She discovered an ability for creating beautiful finishes and knew this was to be her career path.
EDUCATION
To further her education, she enrolled at Palm Beach State College, there she took countless classes in drawing, painting, art history, color theory and ceramics. Each class brought new discoveries and challenged her to push herself. The goal was to be able to offer a comprehensive mural service to her clients, as well as to have a better understanding of the process of creating art.
A highlight of her education was a month long stay in Florence, Italy. There she studied at the Florentine Art Studio and School. She took several courses in the discipline of Ornamental Painting and Grottesca (grotesque) Painting. Both being ancient techniques, they have been painted for centuries, and can be seen in museums, estates and churches throughout Italy.
Celia has traveled all over the U.S. on projects over the years even traveling several times for a job in the Carribean, on the island of St. Marteen. She can be found working in some of the most prestigious communities in south Florida ,some of which are: Trump National Golf Club, The Bears Club, Jupiter Island, Frenchmans Creek, Loxahatchee Club, Admirals Cove, Frenchmans Reserve, St. Andrews and Royal Palm Yacht club in Boca Raton, Sailfish Point in Stuart and countless others...mainly working through designers, she also loves the opportunity to work directly with homeowners.
